Contents | Once, during a META discussion, the idea came up of shorten- ing the ready time on a weapon that takes two rounds to ready. For instance: a pick takes a turn to ready. A person with a 11 (the minimum) strength can swing a pick every other round. A person with a 16 ST can swing it every round. We decided that folks with intermediate strengths can swing every round at a minus equal to how much ST they lack to do it legitimately. That is, a person with a 13 ST can swing the pick every round, but they are at -3 to hit when they do so.
After some discussion about damages and types and things for bows and such, we decided that drawn bows are badly underrated in this system. In fact, they should get more of an advantage due to the physics of the situation. After much discussion of such matters (almost all of which has been lost in sub- sequent email purges), we decided that bows should get +3 to damage relative to what is in the book. That's +3 to all drawn bows (crossbows do not count).
