Schools of Magic in York

For York magic "school" is a synonym for "Style of Magic". Availability of teachers is another thing that must be stated when describing one of these things. A "school of magic" is the rough equivalent of a historical "school of painting".

We have several different magic casting groups of folks in York. We have the Tuath, the Church, the elves, the Drow, and the humans. Most of humanity (outside the Church) are just rediscovering magic. There is no reason in the world why the different groups would not have different magical types by this definition. (Just try to imagine the Kalisz teaching magic the same way that, say, Sgacity does!)

One thing to codify up front. We've said it, we've RFC'ed it, we've agreed to it, while I'm talking about magic, I'll get it in writing: Resurrection does not work in York. No school, no style, no mortal at all can do a resurrection. EOT.
