Saint Martin's Renunciation

And after 60 days St. Martin climbed down from the tower and spoke to the people:

Bahamut has spoken unto me and given a commandment for his people. Not all of the workings of magic are good and profitable for the faithful. Some there are that invite corruption and sow discord among the people. These should you avoid.

Of the magics which insinuate themselves into the bodies and minds of another, you shall not practice, for these are unclean.

And those magics which endeavor to deceive the senses, you shall not practice, for these are enemies of truth.

Neither shall you delve into the secrets of life and death, for this is the providence of Bahamut alone.

And, likewise, the shaping of fire is prohibited. This hearkens back to the days when Tiamat was cast down. In fire she now dwells and fire is her realm. We cast off the shaping of fire to show that we cast Tiamat out of our hearts.

Thus commands Bahamut.
